Hi, I've been using finasteride and minoxidil for over 10 years now and my hairline has slowly receded regardless. I'm wondering, is there anything worth adding to the regime to possibly encourage more growth?

Thanks.

hey man i just checked your pictures , your hair look great !
slight hairline recession and great density . you apply minoxidil to your whole head or just hairline ? because you have a great density

no sides with propecia or minoxidil ?
and the only thing you could add is duta or RU ( if it is legit )

Hey, I just apply it to the hairline. I haven't had any sides, except watery sperm from Procecia but I don't really care too much about that, after over ten years it's normal to me now!

I was considering RU, but I haven't seen anything that proves that it actually works... I wonder would adding duta help or be a little risky.....?

Dutasteride is the next step when finasteride is no longer doing the job

Adding a bit of Dutasteride into the mix or replacing finasteride with it? If there is a chance I might not respond to Dutas in the same way, for whatever reason, I'd be hesitant to switch, but would consider adding it if that is something that is doable?

Try dutasteride 3x a week in addition to finasteride. This seems to work for people

Great thanks I think I will give this a try. Do you happen to know of a reliable place to source it? I'm in Ireland and used to have trouble getting my finasteride seized by customs until I just got a local Doctor to prescribe it.

I don't man. I've never taken dutasteride myself. I get my finasteride from Walmart pharmacy where my Doctor sends the script

Ok thanks, I might see if my Doctor will give me a script for it first, I don't hold out much hope for that though!

Worth a try! Have some dutasteride studies ready on your phone to show him so he knows you're serious about it. He may be more prone to prescribe it if he knows you're being proactive and doing your homework

Good idea!

dutasteride, RU.

Hey thanks for the reply, I had considered RU, but for now I've shelved that idea. Are you suggesting I switch to Dutas instead of finasteride or add .5mg of Dutas 2 or 3 times a week? I'd be worried about dropping the finasteride in case, for whatever reason, I don't respond to Dutas in the same way.

I would replace but if you're worried you can probably just add it in. Why shelve RU? You can easily apply just to the hairline.
You can also consider applying seti directly to the hairline, its a safer topical and is said to help counteract some of the dead fibrosis in balding scalp -prostaglandin protocol

I'm just shelving the idea of RU for now to see if adding Dutas makes a difference first and also for cost reasons. If Dutas doesn't help then I'll be looking towards RU. I haven't heard of seti before I will have to look that up.
