Am a 27 year old just starting on a course of Regaine to try to save my hair. Am thinking about starting on propecia as well..

I'm currently about a 2 on the Norwood Scale but am starting to thin more on top now and my temples are receding rapidly. My father is about a 6 and he started losing his hair around his late 20's.

have your Doctor prescribe you proscar. get the generic at your local pharmacy. i think it is $30 for 30, but I could be wrong. look at walgreens.com to see their prices for a ballpark figure.

proscar is 5mg finasteride, compared to 1mg for finasteride. cut it in forths and take one fourth a day. dose does not matter much. read my other posts for more info.

Am living in europe but I'll have a look for some online pharmacy's to compare some prices.. I dont think there is any difference buying it online rather than getting a prescription from a GP is there?

only a small risk that the online stuff is fake, but unitedpharmacies and inhousepharmacy are very trusted on this site.

Whats is your opinion on generic Propecia and Proscar?

I found Finpecia (30 Tablets) for €20 and Fincar (30 Tablets) for €27 on Inhouse.

One month on Regaine.. Am shedding a few more hairs than usual but not gonna freak out just yet. From what i read it's common enough..

My Finpecia arrived this morning so I'm adding 1mg finasteride to my regime.

Did I make a mistake by starting on the minoxidil before the finasteride? Would the finasteride have stopped the minoxidil shed or not?

eh don't worry about the shed man. it means you're a good responder.

anyone else think that looks like diffuse thinning with hair loss in the front all the way back to the crown? it looks similar to my loss.

No, finasteride wouldn´t have stopped the minoxidil shedding. Keep in mind that finasteride takes AT LEAST a few weeks until it can stop your hair loss.

Good Luck!
