Rita,

Please read my post at the following link for help:

I had a painful scalp for about 1.5 years. Felt bruised and felt like I was pulling my hair out every time I brushed. I went on Aropax (anti depressants) and you wont believe the difference.

If you ask any hospital, Anti depressants are used to cure many chronic pain situations.

Hi Giggsy,

Thanks for the reply...I think her scalp pains are due to scratching and irritation from minoxidil though :) Nice to see that the guys are starting to help out though! Appreciate it.

To Rita,

I used to have that exact problem with Rogaine. Man oh man did it itch! I looked like I had lice or something. I would wake up in the middle of the night scratching, to the point where I would see blood under my nails (eew) :freaked:

Now I do not have that kind of irritation anymore. There are products out there that will definitely help you in that respect. I use Tricomin and it made a HUGE difference. I know people have also mentioned they like Folligen as well.

Laura- Not a problem

Rita-

This is what you need to do:

1) Order some folligen products over the internet- They come in the form of a therapy spray as well as shampoo and conditioner and various creams and lotions. I would try the creams and therapy spray first. What these do is help repair damaged scalp and can totally ease the pain. It takes a couple of months of treatment to rid you of your burning and sore scalp but relief is immediate. It has worked a charm with my minoxidil use

2) Buy pure tea tree oil from a health store or chemist. Use a dropper to add the tea tree oil to a moisturising shampoo (like Dove Moisturising shampoo)
Use it daily with cold to luke warm water on your scalp. You wont believe the incredible soothing effect that this will have on your scalp.
