Pain/Painkillers after Hair Transplant

Hey All,

I am going in for my hair transplant in a few weeks with Dr. Feller. Just wondering, an opinion from people who have had the procedure done, regardless of which doctor you have used:

Have you had a need for painkillers? Dr Feller prescribed one for me, but I know from experience when I had a wisdom tooth removed last year, that while it did ease the pain from that procedure, I had what felt like a wicked hangover and stomach ache for 2 days after I took it.

So I'm just wondering how bad the pain has been in your experience, and is it bearable enough to get through it without the painkillers?

Thanks!

Michael

I went to Dr F in Jan 2009. He gave me a few Vicodin, which I took, didn't need them after the first night, but pain was not that bad, and you should be still numbed up from the lidocaine that he will inject in to your scalp.

Unfortunately for me, the lidocaine went through my system fast and Dr F had to give me a second injection.

Still loving the transplant, Dr F and his team did great work.
