Painful gyno after months off only 4 weeks of finasteride

My story: About 6 months ago started finasteride.

2 weeks in, painful nipples. Noticed lumps but who knows, I may have always had lipomas there, but may have been coming out more due to the weight loss. Or it may have been the finasteride.

Stopped after 3 weeks, because it was too painful.

About 3 months after that with hair thinning more every month, I was desperate. The lumps had mostly gone away, and the pain was no longer there, so I decided to try 0.5mg of finasteride again. Made it all of two weeks before the pain came back and I had to stop.

That's more than 2 months ago, and the lumps didn't go away. Now they appear to be getting bigger again, and my right breast is VERY painful.

I wish to god I'd never touched that horrible stuff and curse my luck at my horrible diffuse thinning and this awful punishment at trying to do something about it. I think the 1 in 200 number for finasteride gyno is a load of CRAP, and it going away in all cases between 2 and 6 months, give me a break!

Looks like the equivalent of less 4 weeks of finasteride have given me permanent, painful gyno and I don't know what to do.

I am getting the lumps looked at by ultrasound but was embarrassed to tell my doctor about my misadventure with finasteride. I am tempted to try nolvadex or amridex but after my horrible experience with self-medicating and screwing with my hormones I am deathly afraid of what that might do. I wish I was honest with my doctor, maybe after I get the ultrasound results.

In terms of my hair loss, I am using revivogen only, although it has not stopped or slowed my shedding after 2 months I am going to stick with it.

Can anyone help or share a similar experience?
