The body uses pantothenic acid and other things like n-acetyl cysteine to produce coenzyme A (a crucial enzyme ) . Coenzyme A is critical to avoid excess oilyness of the skin and scalp

Technically, there's no such thing as "vitamin B5". The vitamin to which you refer is called pantothenic acid by doctors and scientists. "B5" is just a popular bastardization.
