I'm one day into using finasteride and I'm already freaking out. It seems whenever I get something is when I find out the worst case scenario. I just got done reading at some drug review how finasteride curved this guys penis irreversibly. I've also read about it changing the sides. Before I go any furthur into treatment I want to know if theres much truth to these. If you've been on finasteride for a significant amount of time answer my poll please

there is no truth to that. because of the mechanism of finasteride, it can't do that. all it can do is make you go feminin. it can decrease ejaculation volume, give you impotence, take away your sex drive, all reversably and within the first month. if you start feeling piple pain, it will take about 8 months for you to start growing breasts, but that is extremely rare. since your liver must break it down, people with liver problems should get tests before taking it, and probably all people should get tested for liver problems.

what crap,

in my experience ive had 2 very minor sides from propecia.

1. drop in libido for first few weeks + less sensitive penis. thats gone now, wasnt a major problem anyway

2. watery semen - still with me but no drop in overall ejaculate volume

thats it

on the plus, my hair is 100 times stronger, big reduction/almost no hair loss at the end of my 3rd month.

for me, the early signs are great and im expecting good results in the next 21 months
