This happens all the time and its so frustrating. I am having a conversation with someone. They are spewing out their life story to me and I'm sitting their listening intently, trying to be polite even if I don't really care what they are saying. This whole time they are staring in my eyes as they are speaking. Then, when it is time for me to talk, their eyes dash up and start looking at my balding head; they say a few meaningless words in response and then the conversation is over. It seems like people don't mind baldness when you are listening to their stupid words, but they place no value on anything you say because you are bald.

perhaps you should change the guys you hang out with. They seem to be quite swallow people. Meet with some people you can really talk and not just pretend to talk.

hahah...I had a niece..she is just 11 months old...she too stares at my bald nw6 head...does it mean i should complain to her..

I am one of the only few people she will stay without crying...

People will look at your hairline but its plain normal reaction unless he says..

There was this lecturer in my university whose eye contact with me (when I was sitting on the front seats in his class )was always followed by him looking at my hair. He once even asked me if I just had a hair transplant. I think he might have his own insecurities (was a full head tho) but he never tried to insult me or anything.
