Wow, I must say that this site is pretty impressive and full of helpful information. Kudos for everyone and their additions to the site!!!

Coming from a family (my mother's side) which her parents, bros. & sis. all have thick hair well into their late 40s & 50s (My grandparents both had thick hair in their 70s.) I guess that's not the case for me. I've been watching my once think head of hair slowly thin out as time passes. I've noticed that the shedding effect covers my entire scalp, so I am losing hair evenly all over. So I guess I can rule of male pattern baldness (for now). My scalp is also itchy and occasionally breaks out with acne. When I scratch it, I notice that hair falls out.

Has anyone else had this kind of experience, and if so, what have you tried that has and has not worked??

I have been using Nizoral shampoo for 6 months now and I have found that it has regrown some hair -- more growth in the first three months than the second three -- on my forehead. I have also been doing "scalp exercises," which I found on the Internet six months ago too. I would say that my hair is thicker and my hair loss has been reversed since starting the above "treatments." I'm not sure if it is both or just one of the two methods that is causing the regrowth but I will continue both because so far so good. To be honest, I'm amazed that hair can be regrown -- I always doubted products such as Rogaine; I still haven't tried any other hair loss treatment products, but at this point I'm content with my current approach because it seems to be working. I definately recommend Nizoral (I have psoriasis and have found that using Nizoral twice a week also has made my scalp lees itchy).

Link to scalp exercises? Are you using 1% or 2% Nizoral?
