i think it depends a lot on how good your camera is. the better it is, the more likely it is to see thin hair (i have a rather bad camera which doesn't really show the extent of my hair loss on any of the pics i make) also the angle + light is important
i also believe it's true that your forehead can generally appear larger in pics than in real life

It makes no difference what camera it is. It depends on focal length and how far away the lens is from the subject.
well then i must be doing something wrong with my camera because no matter what i try my pictures are always really blurry and bad.
what definitely applies to me though is that on pics my hairloss doesn't seem anywhere near as bad as it is in real life.

Yes, photography is one of my job requirements (studio and live event). But it's a hobby as well.
