All generic drugs from internet pharmacies are counterfeit. Do not, under any circumstances, trust them.....especially Dr Reddy's Dutas. It's even more fake than the rest. I hear the capsules are full of Jell-O, and even worse things on occasion.

the packet looks genuine, but packets can be easily forged.

Testing the product is not feasible so the only way i can think of finding out if its genuine or not is buy contacting GSK and quoting the lot number. Ring them and see what they are say.

I contacted GSK in Europe by email once and asked them how i could tell if the product I'd received was legit, i got an email back from them saying

"Only GSK products have the tamper proof safety device"

which turned out to be the clear round sticker that seals the box.

Beaner is you were correct.

Not only is Dr Reddy commiting an offence but 95% of us are wasting our time and all those patiente using the meds for Prostate reasons could suffer serious consequences....Pharmacies dispense Dr Reddy's for prostate and sure they would have been closed down by now and would risk their whole business over one drug they manufacture.

Do you have anything to prove what you say in dissing all the generics?

Its obviolsy better from a concience pt of view to take genuine but as those are expensive then may not be possible and expensive things are even more likely to fakes...

I was being sarcastic in my post. I have no doubts as to the legitimacy of the generic drugs and defend them time and again on this forum. I used them myself for a long time with good results. They are the least likely to be faked. It would be like someone selling phony Timex watches or "Tuff Guy" jeans from KMart. The sarcasm was a bit of aggravation at seeing yet another fake drug post (there's a new one every day if you haven't noticed) and being under the impression that the original poster was referring to Dr Reddy's brand since it was referred to as "dutas".

I do not believe there is any way to know if the drug you are taking is real or fake... you cannot go by the look of the box or pill.

If you are really worried about it then get a script from medical wellness center and have it filled at a pharmacy.

That is what I do and I don't have to worry about the legitimacy of the avodart.

So far... i've bought 5 packs of genuine GSK Avodart from Elitenet, 2 on one occasion, 3 on the other and it's 100% legitimate. Absolutely nothing to worry about.

Whereas, Inhouse... well.. I was very skeptical about the Avodart I received from them. It was either damaged by heat as all of the capsules were really squashed (& pack had arabic writing) or weren't genuine!) But with Elitenet, no worries whatsoever.

And yes, definite results with Avodart from Elite - I'm maintaining well and side effect-wise; as soon as I started Dutasteride (Avodart from Elitenet) I felt the same ache in my testicles as I did when I began finasteride. Hope this helps!
