whats up people :smoke:

My name is Brian and im 19 years old. Almost over the past year or so ive noticed a slow graduall amount of my hair thinning, pretty much only on the left side of my crown. This came of somewhat of a shock to me even though my dad has been balding ever since I was a little kid. After a short period of depression, I recovered and searched the web to find as much information as possible. For the past 3 months I have been taking propecia every morning and using nizoral every 3-4 days. On the norwood scale I would say im around a 2. So far, the thinning hair is still looking somewhat "see through." Is there anyone out there close to my situation that has seen results? How long does it usually take for the propecia to kick in? Is there a better time during the day to take the propecia? What about adding rogain to the treatments, better or worse?
If anyone wants to see a pic of my hair i could post one up. thanks for giving me some of your time. late.

Welcome.

Has your hair loss continued recently? If it has slowed or stopped, you *may* be seeing results. When on Propecia, the studies show that hairloss slows or stops between 3-6 months, and in some cases mildly reverses at the 9 month - 1 year mark.

If you are happy maintaining your hair as it is for a while, or want to see a possibility of getting better results, I would suggest adding a topical SOD (like Folligen or Tricomen) or another DHT inhibitor like topical spironolactone.

If you are just midly thinning save the minoxidil for the days that you need to regrow. And yes stay on that nizoral to keep the scalp healthy.
