I have had to deal with my own hairloss since I was 22. I am now 34. I have been highly successful by researching, experimenting, and being higly disciplined with a routine that works. I used to have really great hair to the point that I constantly got complemented on it. I now have decent to good hair.

My mother, now 58 started loosing her hair two years ago. It is diffused thinning. She used to have very thick beautiful hair. I got my hair from her. I have tried helping her but it seems that what works for me does not seem to work for her. It seems that the mechanism is different.

It really tears at my heart to see her keep loosing her hair especially since I experienced the same but was able to stop it.

What works for women at that age? She showed an allergic reaction to Rogaine. Has anyone had success here?

Appreciate your input.

It all depends on why she is losing her hair, but it sounds hormonally related.

What do you mean by allergic to minoxodil? My inital reactions were some heart palpitations, but they went away over time, even though I moved up to the 5% solution.
