Guys..PLEASE I need your help.

I am taking finasteride 1mg each day the last 2.5 years. I dont know when it started to affect my erection cause I didnt have sex often. However, I first noticed erection problem and limb *^& last september. 3 months ago it happens for me for the first time to be with a girl and not be able to have sex cause my erection was not good at all and only for 5 minutes or so..During this month I also went with 2 different girls and didnt make it. And it was certaintly not cause of psychological reasons, because I was feeling comfortable and willing to have sex with them but I couldnt..I quit finasteride for the last 10 days. my question is: How long does it take for this kind of side effects (erection problems) to dissapear? How long does it take for hairloss to start?

Did you have better results dealing with erection problems by taking a finasteride pill every other day...or by taking zinc and/or arginine together with the original finasteride dose?

Its really a pity that I am in this position to think quiting finasteride cause it worked well..no hairloss the last 2 years ..
thank you

are you 100% sure that it is the finasteride that is causing this,it happens to young men all the time ,just make sure you know it is the finasteride before your gets damaged,i know it is not ideal but maybe try v**** for the short term?

unfortunately yes! I am sure that it is caused by finasteride. I am taking it the last 2.5 years. Its a long time. The difference in erection before finasteride was huge!
I agree with u that this happens to many young men (caused by stress etc) but in my case..I could not get an erection even trying alone..you understand what I mean..this perfectly proves that I have problem because of the pills..
As for v****..no...I would feel very bad psychologically to take it and I would have the courage to ask for it in a pharmacy...maybe i have to reduce finasteride dose and take it every second day, but I want to see first that I can really become strong again after quiting it,...and after 10 days I havent.. :freaked:

It takes two weeks for DHT levels to return to baseline. The info on keratin.com states that "in six months after stopping Propecia you will lose about half to two thirds of the hair that regrew. By 12 months you will lose it all."

I intend to start finasteride again..maybe in reduced dose..but i will start it again..i need my hair in this period of my life..

but I am not so sure that two weeks without finasteride is enough time for the side effects to dissapear...i hope this though...

CCS has some tips on his website...

impotence is often a result of not having enough NO. NO is made from arginine, or needs arginine to be made. Finasteride can somehow infere with this, but I read this from a non-reliable source. Supplimenting with arginine may end impotence problems for men on finasteride.

There are always aromatase inhibitors... like I always say though, a radical step.

If you Google it, you'll find plenty of suppliers. I have used Biovea before and they seem OK. Or post in the vitamins and supplements forum, you're bound to get some tips there.
