A completely unfounded theory I'd like to throw out there... I was on Finasteride for 3 years. This year I developed pretty serious brain fog and had to quit. Coincidentally, this year I also started drinking (ok, getting drunk) every weekend. I drank only rarely before this.

There are articles around somewhere about Finasteride amplifying the effects of alcohol and also getting in the way of brain repair. Since we all know that alcohol kills brian cells... here's my question.

Hmm... not a huge sample so far, but maybe my hypothesis wasn't right. Looks like we've got a 50/50 split so far.

I would guess actually that alcohol would have the opposite effect of instead inhibiting some of the effects of alcohol. That is if finasteride interferes with allopregnanolone which is still unknown.
