I have been taking finasteride for about ten years, and it has served its purpose very well. I am 46 and all of my male friends (even those a few years younger than me) complain of having to get up to pee at night. I don't have to do this, but I do recall sometimes needing to do it before starting finasteride. I know that 5mg is the dose for frequent urination (because my dad used to take it for that) but could it be that prolonged use of 1mg also helps this? Has anyone else noticed this??
