Possible allergy reaction to Spectral DNC

Hello

I´ve started using Spectral DNC since 5 days ago and i´ve started to develop little red bumps similar to an allergy reaction in my skin mainly on my upper body and arms.

I don´t know nor i´m aware that i may be allergic to one of the ingredients that Spectral contains but this product was the only thing new i´ve introduced to my body. The food i eat has been the same the past 5 days, i mean, i haven´t used nothing new in terms of foods. I didn´t use new creams of fragances in my skin.

The question i ask you is if you are aware of any allergie problems associated with Spectral that you can tell me?

I´m going to stop spectral for a few days to see if the red bumps go away. It was my last hope of a minoxidil related product working for me but let´s see what happens the next few days.

I´ve got an answer from DS Laboratories to my email about this and they told me to stop use of spectral for a few days and then try to use it again in smaller amounts.

Can this be dose related? I feel i´ve put too much of it on my hair, about 14 sprays at a time. I will try using the daubber with 1ml as the amount.

Do you tend to have a bad reaction with many minoxidil-based products?

Sadly there aren't too many potent minoxidil alternatives. Spectral RS, apply polys and Prox-N are probably all ok, but you couldn't really rely on them they should only really be used in addition to a larger regimen (ideally topical or systemic DHT reduction, or something that significant).

Give it a few days maybe then yeah you could try reducing the dose, that might help.

I´ve never had a bad reaction to any minoxidil products, i even used high concentration minoxidil like Dr. Lee´s Xandrox 15%.

Perhaps spectral DNC is more capable of getting minoxidil through the skin.

Yesterday before bed i´ve used only 0,5ml instead of 1ml but i still have my torso full of red dots. Like you said i will give it a few days off again to see if this goes away and then start again.

I´´m now looking for alternatives but i don´t want to use just regular minoxidil that you buy in a real pharmacie. I was looking at Rogain foam as there have been positive reviews about it or i might buy Minoxidil 6% from Dr. Lees because that´s what i was using to complment Xandrox 15% although i wasn´t getting anything from the latter after 9 months using it

From what I hear (I've never used minoxidil personally, not yet anyway) the best seem to be Nanominox and Xandrox :)

Spectral.. I dunno man you could be reacting to any one of the ingredients. I wonder if Spectral RS would have caused the same, because if so then it's probably one of the other ingredients.

What about Spectral DNC-L advanced?

I´ve asked Biovea for a full refund of Spectral Dnc so let´s see if they agree with that but during the days i wont have nothing to use i´m searching for alternatives but like you said maybe Spectral products aren´t for me.

Thing is if you reacted badly to normal DNC, I can't imagine much advantage to using DNC-L. It's also apparently quite cream-like in texture and yellowish in colour, so not great for everyone.. I don't know for sure though.

Another option in the DS labs route is Spectral RS, and then if you don't have a reaction you could combine it with a generic minoxidil brand. Thing is though then you'll be using pretty much every ingredient of DNC anyway so one would imagine you would still get sides!!

I´ve discarded Spectral RS but i was looking at Polaris NR07 but it seems the issue will be the same as they have an even better absortion system in Lipospheres.

I guess i will have to rely on plain minoxidil then.

ok cool :)

I still don't quite understand why you don't go with the v highly regarded xandrox or nanominox, but I guess it's about finding what's right for you :)

I felt Xandrox wasn´t making anything for me. An highly concentrated percentage of alchool wasn´t doing good to my hair so i guess i need something more soft and healthy to my hair.

Ah ok.

Also I do firmly believe that hair loss has triggers, I don't know if that's something you've considered like if anything could have "set it off" so to speak. Like for me I think it's collagen, and for my friend I think it's high T/DHT.

There are quite a few IMO but some are far more common than others.

No i never considered that something triggered my hairloss, only that i had the baldness gene and that´s it.

Your point is intriguing and i may as well do some blood work to my hormones to see if they are that high.

I will also increase comsumption of important vitamins and minerals like Zinc, Biotin to see if my follicles are lacking these.
