Been taking Finasteride for over 3.5 months now, planning to quit it after 4 month mark. My hair are definitely better than they were (Min+finasteride) but I am playing with the thought of going finasteride free for the rest of my life, keeping only Minoxidil & Nizoral 2%.
I am scared shitless that if I quit finasteride, my hairloss will suddenly accelerate & I will quickly go on to become a Norwood 3 from a Norwood 2.2 ~2.3 I currently am. Has anyone quit finasteride & experienced accelerated hair loss?
FYI - My hairloss has been slow & no one in my immediate or extended family is NW5 or more. None of my uncles, grandfather & my Dad lost their hair until their 40s. My dad was a NW2 well into his 30s & is now a NW4 at 54. So how do you guys think I'll do?
