post - minoxidil application - is this kosher?

After I apply minoxidil to my crown, I usually wait 30 minutes before going to bed or going out the door. I do notice that it is still a bit greasy even after that amount of time. I was considering massaging it into the scalp after the 30 minutes. This way a portion of it gets absorbed by both my fingers and head, and I can then wash my hands, and maybe this stuff wont be as greasy for so long.

How do others do it?

I put it on and massage it in right away, it cuts down on streaking and it dries a lot quicker.

I want as much minoxidil ON my scalp and not in the hair or on my fingers. At first it was kind of dripping everywhere, and took time to dry in... but now I have learned that if you apply it very deliberately and patiently, in small strategic droplets, I can get great application with little drippage and very little in the hair. It takes a bit of time, though, for me about 2 minutes.

I don't think that working it around the scalp surface adds any effectiveness to it. I mean, once it hits the scalp, the minoxidil will get more evenly dispersed in the horney layer of the scalp skin according to Dr Lee?

I would rather not touch it, get in on my fingers and in my hair, and therefore have MORE of it ON the scalp. Let the horney layer do the spreading around, not your fingers.

The Rogaine book says if you want you can use your fingers to massage it in and it will work the same, so I'm spreading like a knife with butter.
