Pre-diabetic - oil, itch, hair loss

My a1c and glucose has been in prediabetic range for quite some time - does this impact shedding or hair loss? My hair is “thinning”, but for my age my hair line is likely considered good comparatively.
At any rate - probably reaching here but thought I’d ask…
