Ya'll watch Prison Break? Tell you what... I don't really get avid about TV shows but this program is simply outstanding. I'm thoroughly impressed in how well-written it is.

I agree. Prison Break is great and it has your adrenalin pumping from the beginning to the end. I don't know why so many people do not watch it. I think this maybe the last season due to its low ratings.

I love Prison Break! Most great shows start out conceptually brilliant initially, then fail to end when they should. Lost and Heroes are good examples of that.

PB however, has kept it's flair for the 4th series, which is mighty impressive. I usually stop watching shows when they stagnate. Prison Break works I think because the main protagonists are still central to the plot. The total amount of key figures hasn't spiralled into a crowd of undeveloped characters like Heroes has. The plot has good continuity without a sense of random developments deliberately designed to extend the show. PB DOES have some instances of extensions, but they WORK, and contribute to the original main plot.

BTW, I hope it ends by series 5 maximum. If they do so, despite very high ratings, I'll show my respect by purchasing the entire lot of episodes on DVD. The only bad thing about Prison Break is the lack of humour at times, yes, it's a super-serious plot, but some humour would benefit it. I only laugh at unintended humour, like when Don Self fell from the ladder today, just cracked me up ^_^

Other annoying thing is predictability intra-plot. For example, if performing a task during a 'mission' something ALWAYS goes wrong, no matter what. I would now be very surprised if a certain task was completed without incident. Other than that, excellent TV.

PS: My idea for a good ending to the show....

Michael Scofield becomes the new leader of the 'Company', that doesn't take out kids anymore though. I can't picture Michael retiring in the Carribean, or dying, nor becoming corrupted.

If the writers are dumbasses, they'll put Lincoln as a company guy going after his brother Michael for a whole series, then making up, and taking down the company again later on in another series etc. That happens I'm boycotting it. :thumbdown2:

I missed several episodes this season... what happened to that black dude that was going around killing everyone? Is he still "at large"?

You should become a TV/film critic. You've put it very well.

I still religiously watch PB, Heroes and Lost, but Heroes has been frustrating me lately. I think I'm gonna stop watching it.

The series finale was excellent but also very :sobbing: I going to miss that show. It was definitely one of my favorites.

*Warning - Some SPOILERS!*

I just watched the finale yesterday. Looking at my comment on the first page, seems I was almost right about Lincoln and Michael on opposing sides, but I'm glad it wasn't a fully fledged conflict, and lasted just as long as it should have.

The final episode was excellent, an almost flawless finish. Everyone had their destined ending. I wasn't expecting to be emotional as I seemed to believe PB was more plot driven than character driven. But the final moments actually made me cry. I was in a kind of mourning for a few hours afterwards. Then I realised all along, it was about Michael Schofield, not the plot. I'm trying not to ruin it for others!

I was overjoyed seeing Kellerman again. He always had such a sinister presence, whether a good guy or bad guy.

I wonder in 20 years or so, a follow up could be made. Lincoln has a son called LJ - Lincoln Junior. And now we have a new Michael Schofield. Both names are the same and genetically ideal to have similar characteristics with their fathers. Potential is there!

I can't wait until the Prison Break movie is released to DVD. There is a 2 hour movie( missing episodes) that will be released in July that continues from when they are all let free. Sara goes to Prison for killing the mom. The movie is what happens to all the characters during the 4 years before Michael dies.

Average.

Watched the end and laughed.

The whole show was over the top. First 3 seasons excellent. Last 2, average.

It felt like the writers were making it up as they went along.

They truly exhausted an idea to make money. The original idea, breaking from prison was great. I recommended people watching the first 2 or 3 seasons. They were great!
