I have been taking minoxidil for years and it has been working great with slow hairline recession. A few months ago I added ru to my regimen, low dose and my hairline has disappeared fast. I was thinking it was a shed but now my scalp is very itchy with dandruff I never had this problems before. I mix it with minoxidil. Should I discontinue, will my shed grow back?
any though helps

Why would you add RU over oral or topical finasteride? Either way, most people get sheds when they add 5AR or topical AAs to their regimen. You're probably not going to grow anything back if you quit it unless you get on finasteride instead, so you're options are to ride it out and hope it improves, quit and probably dont improve, or substitute it for finasteride and ride out the sheds.

If you're worried about sides just take small doses of finasteride 3-4 times a week to start.

In the past I tried oral finasteride two different times the second time at small doses. I got bad sides fast both times. That was why I decided to give RU a try.
The RU seems like it’s an allergic reaction or Telogen Effluvium like. Plus the itch is bad. If it’s Telogen Effluvium or shed related you don’t think those hairs will grow back
