Hey,

First time on this form. Been losing my hair since I was 15. It started from the hairline and has been reseeding back ever since. When I was younger I tried a few things to try and treat it, but to be honest it was half hearted and never did a thing. Well I don't know for sure as I never kept any records or stuck long enough with them.

I'm 23 years old now. When I turned 23 I decided to go onto proscar and in late September I shaved my head. Since August I've been taken 1/4 table each day. And have been taken photos as often as I can.

Please see my progress below... I would really love some feedback if possible.

Hey,

It looks like you've made some decent gains in a relatively short amount of time, especially in that frontal area. Make sure you are using nizoral shampoo at least twice a week. If you want more thickness/regrowth add in minoxidil. Personally, I would wait at least one year, then evaluate if you want to add in minoxidil or not. Until then, keep up with your treatments. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.

Howdy :)

It appears that there might be some regrowth there, but with the different lighting conditions in each of the photos it's impossible to be sure. If you can, try to make a note of the lighting levels and position of the light and then as you add reference phtotos to your progress, try to get the lighting the same each time. Ideally take the picture from exactly the same position / flash setting / light etc.

As people's scalp is quite reflective, light level, focus and direction makes a huge difference in visible hair density, along with the general codition of the hair i.e. wet, dry greasy etc.

As an aside, your hair also looks like Nanogen (or Toppik etc.) could really give you a nice boost as a temporay "one night" type thing for special occasions.

Good luck and thanks for sharing.

That's some great regrowth from finasteride alone... just think of what your hair would look like once you add minoxidil.
