Hey guys, I received my Promox and have used it about three times so far. Label lists contents as Minoxidil 10%; Azelaic 1500mg; Hydrocortisone 6mg; Tretinoin 25mg; Biotin 100mg; Finasteride 100mg; Latanoprost 60ml/180.
The Latanoprost concentration doesn't make sense to me but that's the way it is listed-as though they ran out of room on the label. It is a clear, yellowish solution, yet no matter how long or hard you shake it there are crystals that do not dissolve. Also, it burns! Not intolerably, but mildly and for about 15 minutes. Any Promox users care to comment?

I would check with the seller. Do you know what is the volume of your bottle, 60 ml, 100ml or 120 ml?

minoxidil above 8% in solution will crystalize hence your crystal situation. higher percent minoxidil exists in creams.
plus any sh*t that burns ur scalp is probably not helping you in the long run.
who knows whats in these off brand products. unless lab tested ur probably getting only a fraction of the listed percentage of ingredients and even not all the ingredients listed.

I called APS Pharmacy, origin of the compounded product and spoke to the pharmacist. He verified the concentrations of the various ingredients including Latanoprost at .003%. Also he said the higher Minoxidil concentration is difficult to keep in solution so some does precipitate forming the crystals. Typically the Promox comes with azaleic acid but he said it can be compunded without it and felt it would be a better product. As warner8 said, one should be concered about burning sensation. That response means inflammation and we know that isn't good. I wouldn't mind having the product tested anyway by an independent lab. If anyone knows of a competent, reputable one, let me know.

Oh, the volume of the bottle is 60ml.

I think the latanoprost is 180mcg (micrograms).

I have also had experience with crystallized minoxidil. It is a shame they sell it if they cannot solve it properly.

Oh, I forgot to mention, the pharmacist ascribed the mild burning effect to the alcohol base.
