Propecia and Avodart

I am currently taking propecia 1/3rd a day and i have no sides at all. With anymore i start getting side effects. My question is has anyone had luck taking avodart once or 2x a week and still take Propecia? I mean substitute propecia for avodart on those days. Thanks

i'm not sure there will be much point in propecia on the off days if you're on dutasteride twice a week. the half life of dutasteride is pretty long and its a MUCH stronger drug.

I don't think avodart 1x a week is a safe idea. Definitely go with 2x a week. 1x a week might be as strong as propecia, but a week is a long time without.

If you're getting side-effects if you take any more propecia than you already are, I would not recommend taking Avodart at all. The half-life of Avodart is much longer than Propecia, so if you start to experience side effects, it could take a while for these effects to go away because the drug will still be in your body. Sounds like you're going to be playing with fire if you take Avodart since you are already getting side-effects from Propecia.
