Propecia and Blood flow to Penis

Hey guys,

I know this is my first post, and it is rather an interesting one. I noticed that although my erections are still generally what they used to be, that the amount of actual blood that is pumped in is noticably less. I used to be able to do kegal exercises with ease, but at the very bottom of the shaft, there is a noticable decrease in blood flow, resulting in the loss of an erection if not stimulated. If anyone knows what jelking exercises are will also know that they are difficult to perform on finasteride.

I have a feeling that cialis/v**** would easily combat this but I wanted to know if others feel this is the culprit for a decrease in sexual performance. I truly believe arginine helps with this as well.

kegal and jelking, please define those. do you think that it reduced the length/circumfrence of your c*** at all?

Kegal and Jelqing are two methods of penis enlargement. They do work if performed right, I have used them before finasteride. Now that I am on finasteride, I cannot perform them as well. finasteride has not reduced the size of my penis, but before when I would perform these exercises, I would get great pumps of blood flow during sex or during "personal time".

If anyone has not noticed any difference, you are not paying attention. I undoubtadly have less blood flow than I did before using finasteride. With that in mind, I would still not stop finasteride. The increase in thinkness of my hair and overall quality since starting a month ago is worth the trade off.

Hmm... isn't that interesting, androgen deprivation therapy causing chronic hypoxia and cellular apoptosis leading to reduced bloodflow and atrophy of DHT-dependent tissues -- just like these rats experienced, only you're experiecing it as a human. Go figure.

If we were to read the diagrams you posted, all of us would be in the control group. Let me explain.

The recommended daily dose is 1mg and let's assume the average weight of a propecia user is roughly 75-80kg. So, the mg/kg/day is in the 0.0125-0.013 range at best for most of us. The experiments are carried out for 0, 1, 5, 25, and 125 mg/kg, basically from the available data the closest to 0.013 is 0.

Those results prove absolutely nothing. 125mg/kg would be 10,000 the recommended daily dose for a 80kg male.

Bunch of scientists overdosed a few mice in a lab environment and published their findings. The data set doesn't directly apply to us.

The guy is talking about bloodflow issues to his dick. Numerous studies in both rodent and humans have stated androgens (and nitric oxide) are critical for tissue health, bloodflow, erections and maintenance of these functions in both penis and prostate.

We're both entitled to our opinions but this guy doesn't care anyway, since he plans to continue the drug regardless. Just trying to provide some explanation for his initial question.
