I'm getting hairloss on both the outsides of my lower calves, Dht apparently has a role in growth of bodyhair according to this site im reading, has anyone else had any sides like this? Is this even a side? I'm confused.

i have this too, but more noticeable on the arms. The funny fact is that this side effect appared after ~ 2-3 months off finasteride.

like everybody experience none to massive side effects with this drug, some people need more time to recover. At the moment i'm realising that my body was inflammed before taking this drug. For me the drug made functions of my organs worse, but following trough months of research some natural assumptions about health & the body as one organism speed up the recovery.

Just an example what could happen (in the right order): DHT inhibitor > inflammation (body out of balance)> gut health decreased, even parasite overgrowth > thyrid problems > hormon problems > adrenal fatigue

This drug doesnt change sth. permanent, but for some individuals it could be near to impossible to come out of it. Now its completely logical why this could also occur after taking this drug, it was just the signal from the body, that sth. is not balanced and inflammed ;)"

my experience so far

It's odd though like I've noticed no hairloss in my beard or thighs or arms, Just on the outside to the middle of my lower legs. It's also itchy as **** at times. I'm not sure if it's caused by finasteride or something else is going on

yes, sounds not typical. When i think about it, i know some guys with the same happening and no finasteride use.

some guys as they age lose hairs on their legs, apparently only at age 40+ (or it could be that it just goes gray and harder to see)

I've read finasteride can cause body hair to decrease based on DHT (DHT causes body hair to grow) - but some say that being on finasteride will only stop new body hair growing in, it won't cause any existing body hair to all out).

in my case i have been on it for 6 years with no change to my body hair.

Well.. I've been on dutasteride 0,5 Ed for almost a year and it has not affected my body hair growth at all. Im 20 now and my bodyhair is still developing. Getting new hairs here and there all the time. I didin't have hair on my nipples when i started dutasteride but now i have. My facial hair also keeps developing.

You know, your post really got me to think about this. I've been on Propecia for maybe 5 years (I may have quoted longer in earlier posts, until I accurately assessed). I can remember buzzing my chest hair a long time ago (never had a lot, but just to be completely smooth). I do not have any to speak of now. Leg hair remains the same, but underarm hair is also lighter and there's hardly any. Glad it's gone all north to the top of my head!
