Propecia and Facial/Body hair question

Hey all...I've been on propecia for just over 3 months now and noticed less facial/body hair...This concerns me, because I'm 24 and prior to using propecia I noticed that I FINALLY started growing some facial hair. I've always had hairy legs, and I noticed that they are slightly less hairy. I've had blood tests, and although my testosterone levels were within the normal range, they were at the lower end of the spectrum...I am going to get tested in a week to see post-propecia levels.

Anyone have any experience or knowledge regarding taking a DHT blocker (propecia) while taking testosterone boosters? I know it seems like they would catalyze one another, but could I essentially boost test levels while blocking them from turning into DHT...Any input would be appreciated.

I've been on Propecia for 13 years and I have a nice, hairy chest :) My testosterone levels are ok (nothing spectacular, but acceptable).

I'm not an expert but testosterone boosters should be used with great caution. Some of them are ineffective and may even be counterproductive. And they can have negative effects on your hair: my hair loss worsened while I was taking yohimbe a couple of months ago.

My body hair is exactly the same 6 months on 1.25mg finasteride. I have hairy legs, but no hair on my upper body, this hasn't changed. Haven't had my testosterone measured, sorry.

No experience with test-boosters either, sorry. Personally I like to stay away from anything that increases testosterone - I feel I have enough already and any more will just bald me further - if I want more muscle mass I can just exercise. (the bald beefcake look wouldn't suit me thanks to my ugly face)

I would not take any testosterone boosters as the general line is that finasteride leaves more testosterone unconverted to DHT which means levels go up and you have more testosterone floating around for muscles and to hump with. And at 25! If you need more testosterone I would suspect there is some other issue going on here philological or physical?

Some also feel that as the years go by and now that your DHT is under control, wouldn't you know it, all this extra testosterone and an increase in androgen receptors could be a source of problems for your hair down the road in 5 years or so.

I think there's more to it than just that. I think there's a true upregulation in testosterone production when you take finasteride or dutasteride.

Is that a bad thing?
