Propecia And Minituarised Hairs? Strengthen And Regrow?

I have started taking Propecia now. I have quite a few minituarised hairs here and there that I am hoping to be able to fill in a little bit over time (I know it may take 1-2 years). My only other treatment is Nizoral.

Is this realistic to expect these hairs to become stronger over time, and perhaps even some regrowth?

First, you have to be a finasteride responder and chances for that are high. If so, chances are your miniaturized strands of hair will thicken. Further hair loss could be stopped or slowed down.

If you are lucky, you might get regrowth but if I remember correctly, it only happens in 40% of patients under treatment.

Regrowth happens on 65% of people under treatment, that is, 2 out of 3 will show regrowth.

You need to also consider the variability between patients who do 'respond'.

@5 mg finasteride blocks 70% DHT but has a variability of roughly 20%.

My plan is to take 1mg finasteride daily, nizoral once a week and derma pen once a fortnight (will adjust the frequency as appropriate)

After a year I hope to see results.
