been using 0.25 propecia with no side effects. I dropped to 0.25 mg coz i thought i might being have side effects at 1mg after 7 months. However after a month and a half of .25 mg been doing great (With great i meant no side effects, not regrowth). However i may want to go to 0.5mg again. I Read somwhere on this site that 0.25mg is almost as good as 1mg. Should i start increasing dosage.

here is the study bruce lee was talking about.

My guess is that if Merck thought that .25 mg of finasteride would be the most effective, they would have made the tabs .25mg and charged just as much. There's research behind their decisions, so try the 1mg. If you have problems, bump it down again.

Actually, probably not that much. There is not a huge difference -- but a difference nonetheless -- in blocked DHT between taking 0.25 mg and 1 mg (or even 5 mg).

The research on dosage and its effectiveness is posted on this website. Suggest you read that and decide.

Good luck :)

well i read the report and made a url of it, but perhaps i should go on 1mg. Merck must have chosen it for a reason. I haven't read their clincal trials is there a link that someone can give me. for there phase 2 and phase 3 trials.
