ok tomorow, im off to the dermatologist, to get this sorted, so it looks like ill be on a regime by tomorow afternoon.....if it comes down to either finasteride or dutasteride what do my fellow male pattern baldness sufferers think i should go with?

No benefits.. both are competitive inhibitors for 5ar. So in essence, dutasteride will out compete the finasteride, which would normally out-compete the testosterone, if it wasn't already itself out compted by dutasteride.
I suppose it depends on how bad your male pattern baldness has progressed.. it you've just started, finasteride is probably the way to go - a little less benefit, but less chance of side effects.
