I found a great site http://www.propeciasideeffects.com/

But I have a question about the side effect which I can't find it anyway.

I understand the Finasteride will effect a woman who is pregnant with a male baby and male toddler.

I have both in my house so my question is:

Can I pass some of the medication via ejaculation from sexual intercourse or saliva into their bodies?

I hope you can help!!

Many Thanks!!

I disagree, that is not a "great site" :)

I've not seen a single piece of evidence that says finasteride is passed through semen in a quantity great enough to affect the development of a male fetus.

Also, I don't think there has ever been a case of a child being deformed in any way due to finasteride. It's a warning because it could theoretically happen, but i've never seen a case of it actually happening. I think the only way this would occur is if the female was actually taking finasteride daily during pregnancy.

Think about it though; there are over ten million men taking Finasteride. I would imagine at least a million of them have impregnated a woman some time since the medication has been on the market. If finasteride really passed through semen in sufficient quantity to cause birth defects in even the rarest cases, there would be an explicit warning on the PI saying that men should never have unprotected sex while on the medication. The only warning right now is that women should stay away from the pills and not handle them.

You're safe! As long as you aren't chewing your pills and then making out with a woman right after, you have nothing to worry about.

Just make sure that your wife and kids don't play around with the pills. It's doubtful that enough would absorb through their skin to cause problems...but you don't want to take that risk anyway.
