Just read around and saw one side affect of propecia is that it can lower your platelet count.

Has anybody actually had 1st hand experience of seeing this?
When i think about, everytime iv brushed my teeth for the last 4 months it just gushes blood?

I know its not the same but just wondering if anybody thinks its true?

I did research using Google Scholar, like any other joe.

I also experienced extreme delays in wound healing while I was on the medication for 11 months, 3 yrs ago. In fact, a cut that would normally heal in a week took over 1.5 months due to developing into an abscess, and required triple the amount of antibiotics to treat when normally this would not be the case, so my Doctor told me.

Looking back it all makes sense, if finasteride was indeed contributing to these issues.

So im guessing you discontinued use?
Did all feel well again after, i mean did your sores and wounds heal at a faster rate?

Cheers for the post though,
Its definitley something i wasnt fully aware of, gonna have to keep an eye on it.

Yes, due to numerous other sexual, mental and physical side effects.

The above side effects have not resolved since quitting, but that's another story.

As for wound healing, yes, it went back to normal after quitting. Since finasteride, if I get cuts they heal at a normal rate.
