propecia made my manhood shrink

I took propecia for about 2 months. I stopped shedding hair almost right away but, I also had crippling sexual side effects. I couldn't get erections and if I did they were short lived and small. I had read for some people the side effects went away, but I didn't want to wait it out. Has any one else had this same experience? If so, did it go away?

Give it a few more months

I began to 'get back to normal' after about 3 weeks. It was a bit scary those first few weeks but I stuck with it. Everybody reacts differently

I waited 7 months. I was only on 0.5mg of finasteride a day, my sides were not that bad but I did have little sex drive and water like reduced semen and my penis did seem smaller - but now i'm off the finasteride I am back to normal. The difference is huge.

My advice would be to give it more time to see if your body ajusts to the finasteride. If not you can always stop and it should all go back to normal but you'l lose your hair.

Maybe reduce dosage to 0.5mg

Yeah I did, I stopped a few weeks back and i'm glad to be honest. I enjoy sex to much.

I do expect to loose my hair tho, I'm trying Revivogen,spironolactone and tricomin and revita to help.

I like Rogaine foam but I've got a really dry head at the moment and the foam makes it worse.

Yeh, it isn't worth ruining sex. Taking a pill once a day is as easy as it gets, but I guess I'm going to try putting crap on my head every day. I'm not sure what I'm going to use yet. You say the foam makes the dryness worse?

But how is it when you get into bed with all this stuff in your hair, not very sexy now is it? Sorry honey i got rogain all over you.

The rogaine foam dries really fast and you can't tell its on so that's not a problem (It does make my dryness worse tho). The Tricomin I put on after my morning shower and again it dries fast and leaves nothing. The revivogen also dries quick but leaves your head slightly oily. very slight but it smells strange as well.

The only one to worry about is the revivogen, and I've never got that on the missus, yet. Put it on an hour before bed and it should be dry.

It is a bit of a nuisance putting this stuff on your head. put I'm trying to keep what I got till a proper cure comes along. should be soon I hope. Maybe wishfull thinking.

Did you get a bad shed when you started the foam?

I started on the liquid about a year ago and I did shed for about 2 months, then when it stopped shedding and grew back everbody was comenting on how thick my hair was. Then a coulpe months later It sort of thinned out again and I moved to the foam and it just stayed the same so thats when I decided to get on the finasteride.

my first few days with finasteride were weird, but now I'm back to normal libido wise, I just had a nice hour of the nasty with some chick last night, and I had a few drinks before hand. So that much is good.

BUT, my semen is watery as hell. This was also noticed by my female friend last night. She even commented it was weird and I just told her I'm on some medication that is doing it.
