propecia or minoxidil?

hi everyone ,

i went to the derm. today about losing my hair i am 18 years old.. i am mainly thinning everywhere, worst spot is on the back of my head.. anyways the derm said i could either get on propecia or minoxidil.. which one do any of you think i should get on to get better results? thanks

From what I have read, you should do both. Propecia is good for stopping the loss, but it does take time to work FYI. You should ask your DR for a prescription.

Minoxidil helps promote re-growth. I found some really good prices for it on ebay.

At 18 you are really young to lose your hair, have you see a DR as to why it is happening at such a young age?

Good luck, best to act on it now to have better results in the future.

it happens at a young age if you are incredibly unlucky... i dont think they know why male pattern baldness starts to affect people when it does but im in the same position as you!! started when i was 17

oh but get on propecia! its easy to stick too and if you dont decide to use minoxidil now .. you can wait to decide that in the future
