Just realized, for all the talk and panic over the occurence of sides in Propecia users, I've just stumbled upon articles claiming the birth control pill has a rate of 3% to 6% sexual side effects. These drugs are handed out to literally any young woman, yet all the commotion over Propecia's 1%-3% side effects.
This study puts the numbers for birth control at 32%!

I've heard talk all over boards comparing the sexual dysfunction numbers of Propecia to the numbers of SSRIs (where the perceived percentage is probably north of 40%), but birth control is practically handed out to any young woman...it's so commons we've referred to it as The Pill for decades now. Yet, a higher instance of sexual side effects.
For all of the talk of 'you just don't know what it's doing in your body' and 'it's not a good idea to **** with hormones,' isn't that exactly what's been happening with birth control for decades? And it's widely used, I've never dated a girl not on some form of birth control.
Just some food for thought this morning from someone who's been waffling on the decision to try Propecia for some months now.
Any thoughts? Counter claims?
