I've almost been on the stuff for three months now with no results. I know I'm suppose to not let it get me down and be patient but it's hard to pop a pill every day for three months and have no change. For those of you who are on propecia, how long did it take to see your hair loss stop or atleast slow down???

P.S. I also use nizoral and drink a lot of beer.

I'd wait 9 months before I would start to worry bro... the finasteride takes some time to become effective.

3 f*****g months?????? Is that it????? On Propecia you need ATLEAST 9-12 months.

If you want faster results you should use Minoxidil...LIKE ME

Lizzad, do you think that I should add minoxidil.????Kidding.I don't to because everytime I even touch my head it seems like fifty hairs fall out.
It's not the shed that I'm worried about, even though that would suck,it's just rubbing the stuff in my head would end up rubbing about 30 hairs out after every application.

Hey

Timmerman, what I do with topicals is use the spray. Then you just spray right along the line and you can get far in there without have to manipulate your hair.

Give Propecia alone a try for at least 9-12 months then consider adding minoxidil. You may never need to and that will save your wallet some use, save you a lot of time, and give you another completely unused proven treatment to wait on for if / when Propecia starts to decrease in effectiveness for you.

beer reduce the functioanlity of your kidney, which directly related to hair growth... cut beer out immediately.

As a subsitute, do red wine.

Cut down on the beer and add a quart of Jack. May not help your hairloss but then again, you won't care.
