Hi everyone, really enjoyed reading the different topics on here. I have been on propecia for seven days, I am sure I am hardly losing hairs now, whenever I shower I hardly see any loose hairs in the sink....am I imaging it or could it have started working already??.

Or is this the sun before the storm, I am not looking forward to this sheding I keep hearing about..

On another note I was taking iron tablets and garlic tablets for other reasons but I stoped when I started taking propecia, would there be any problems taking these while on propecia??

appriciate any help

Its remotely possible to have a measurable decrease in fallout rate 1 week after starting propecia if you were suffering from aggressive male pattern baldness and the sudden drop in DHT gave your inflamed follicles a rest.

However, its most likely just your imagination.

Relax, take the pill, and be patient.

Unfortunately the reduction is not due to Propecia. A good understanding of how Propecia works, and the time it takes for it to do its job based on the chemical process would help answer questions like these. Hair cycles naturally with or without treatments, so shedding can seem to increase or decrease all on its own.
