I read on this site how everyone complains of side effects from this drug and how it is working at all. I've been losing my hair for 2 yrs and finally decided to do something about it.
I've been on Propecia for 7 weeks and I haven't experience any side effects yet. I also haven't notice my hair loss slowing down at all.....in fact I think it is speeding up. Two months ago I couldn't see my scalp, now it's starting to show.I'm thinning pretty much everywhere. Is that what they called diffused thinning????Does propecia work for diffused thinners???
I don't want to use minoxidil because just putting gel in my hair I lose about 50 hairs alone. It's so frustrating. Do I stand a chance against this???I'm getting pretty depressed, especially when all I read on here how shitty Propecia is.I have one relative who has male pattern baldness and that's it. Glad I got his jeans. I would love to hear peoples thoughts who have been through this.
If they think I should give up and grab a razor.

timmerman,

Stick with Propecia for at least a full year before passing judgement on it. You may be encountering a Propecia-induced shed -- which is good news. Propecia works on all forms of male pattern baldness -- incl. diffused thinning. Diffused thinning is a very common form of male pattern baldness.

And what are you doing wearing your relative's jeans? Wrangler or Levi's?

Dude, finasteride isn't shitty. Many people have had success keeping the hair they have with it, and some have even regrown with it. Yes, a few people have side-effects, but that's normal with ANY drug.

You're wearing GAP jeans aren't you?

I knew it ... Nobel Prize for me. Figured out the 'cause of male pattern baldness.
