propylene glycol

According to Dr. Lee's website (http://www.minoxidil.com), some people have an allergy to propylene glycol (which is a common ingredient in a lot of topical hair loss products). Is there anyone here who knows they have this allergy who can explain how the allergy manifested itself? Was your skin just extremely irritated, or were there any other effects?

I just noticed my scalp got irritated and was always flaking. This is not an issue now that I'm on the foam, which has no propylene glycol.

i thought the foam had Propane in it, which is similar to propylene glycol?

i'm no expert, though, and could be way off on this....
