Ive been on proscar for about 3 weeks now cutting the tablets into 1/4 and im not using anything else right now. I have small thin hairs on my hairline area where ive lost alot of visible hair and my question is since i have these small hairs does that mean that the roots arent completely dead and theres potential for regrowth?...

Yep. Once they've grown their full cycle, they will fall out and shed ... and grow back in thicker and healthier the next time around. Those are miniaturized hairs. Taking finasteride is going to reverse that process, but it will take a couple years, so give it time. Make sure you are using Nizoral shampoo once every 3 days.

Sounds like you're where I'm at mate. I am using Nizoral though. Fingers crossed for what HairLossTalk.com said.

Ahh...didn't you mean "taking finasteride is going to 'maintain' that process"? :?
