Hi I've been on proscar for about a year now. I've had a bald crown area since I was 13 and since being on the proscar (1.25mg) that area has filled in.

I've recently undertaken a heavy cardio routine and was wondering what effect my regular dose of proscar would do to that? Would my tolerance to exercise decrease? Would my body hurt more and recover slower? would my muscles be less toned?

[on a side note, the sides of proscar may require me to get off it. Reduced ejaculate, no spontaneous erections, and a reduced libido have made life less enjoyable. My self esteem has suffered somewhat as a result of the "little guy" not being ready for action when "pressed into service".]

I used to excersice from jan 07 till jun 07 and had great results.

Then I started takin finasteride oct 07 and started excersizing again oct 08 and the results are very poor.

Hard to loose fat and gain muscle and its probably cuz of the finasteride.

I've not noticed any changes after a year and a half of finasteride. No slowdown,
weight changes, strength changes, etc. Results seem to vary
from person to person, a lot of guys say they get soft, fat, tired.

I'm on finasteride and I can safely say that I'm in the best shape of my life. I do cardio along with strength training and it hasn't affected my performance in either area.
