PROSCAR EVERY 5 DAYS?

not sure exactly how finasteride works but i would assume that it gets into your blood stream and is distributed where it needs to be.

my question is this. if one is cutting proscar into 1/4's that would be 1.25 mg ea to make the total of 5mg. propecia studies claim that only 1 mg of finasteride is needed each day. so if one is cutting the proscar into 1/4's, they are getting 5mg in 4 days. so, would it be safe to skip a day every 5th day so that you would be getting 5mg in 5 days?

does this make sence?

there is practially no difference in 1mg to 1.25mg, either in side effects or hair growth.

no, finasteride has a relative short half-life, and although the bodies production of DHT is slow, you would start producing it again on the later days as finasteride would be out of your system...

I think we misunderstood his question.

Yes dirtrider, if you take 1.25 mg a day of finasteride for four days, then you can take a day off before you start the cycle over with no harm to your hair.

i skip a day every once in a while, maybe 2-3x a month...

Damn I never skip my dutasteride even though I know it has a much longer half-life. It's more of a psychological thing for me not to stop it. I know that it won't harm my hair to skip a day every now and then but I feel like I am helping my hair every morning when I pop that capsule so I don't want to stop myself from doing it or having that feeling.

skipping usually happens when i go out and forget or other similar circumstance
