Proscar maintaining

Just wanted to post a measure of success from 1/4 proscar daily. Been using for 1 year and 3 months and I hardly shed any hair now, just maintaining nicely. It is still too early to tell if the foam is working as I only been using that since september, but there is some vellus hair infront of my hair line. To the new comers to this site, I would suggest getting on meds asap to keep what you have, It takes some time for the meds to turn around the genetic clock. I also use 2 percent nizoral every other day, cheers.

Do you still have the itching and soreness in the balding areas. I too have been on finasteride for over a year and will post pictures for some feedback but I think I am maintaining and don't seem to shed any more than the average human being. The itchiness is killing me though. I need to wash my hair atleast twice a day and it still bothers me.

seriously, this site is amazing...before this i was using worthless treatments that are most likely scams...now i know from true stories what actually works...i wish i would have found this 2 years ago!

gsxr6007, are you on nizoral? I have very little itch now; when male pattern baldness kicked in, the itch was intense like ants under my skin, always on my right temple :dunno: I'm not too sure what stopped the itch but try using different shampoos. I use bojaba oil shampoo, nizoral 2%, and head and shoulders. Maybe just continue to use finasteride and it may go away.

The foam does nothing... you better try out another liquid minoxidil.

Correction.The foam did nothing for YOU.
