What ever brand you use stick with that brand, obviously genuine Merck brand is better than generic. There have been many talks over the years where people used genuine brand and then switched to generic and lost ground. I would only use a generic brand that has good feedback.

theres obviously people paying that price otherwise they would be out of business. so what is different that means people will pay 5x the price?
