Proscar

Hello,

Switched from Propecia (1mg) to Proscar (5mg) today because of the cheaper cost. I am trying to cut the Proscar into 5th's but the tablet is too small. I guess what I am wonderding is how come the Propecia (1mg) and the Proscar (5mg) tablets are almost the same size? I was expecting the Proscar tablet to be bigger than the Propecia tablet. Any advice on cutting the Proscar tablet into 5th's would be much appreciated.

Get an Exacto knife--- or something equally sharp.

Try chewing your Proscar to help increase absorbtion.

Just wondering, it appears that the Propecia (1mg) and the Proscar (5mg) tablets seem to be the same size. I just picked up Proscar (5mg) for the first time today and compared it to the Propecia (1mg) that I had. Are they supposed to be about the same size?

Yes--

most of Propecia is just filler.

Proscar contains 5mg, Propecia only contains 1mg, of finasteride.

The only difference in the dosage and appearance of the tablet.

I cut my proscar into four relatively equal pieces...easier to cut that way. No sides.
