Hi
I first noticed I was receding about 1.5 years ago. I didnt think too much of at the time but as time as has progressed I've found myself thinking more and more about it. I'm constantly touching my hair and its start to drive me nuts. I don't have the "male pattern baldness itch" i just am always touching it every few minutes to make sure my hair is still there.
I went to my doctor in the summer she confirmed that i was balding (although mentioned my hairline could be maturing) she suggested I stay away from propecia at this point in my life. However, she did say she would prescribe it if I really wanted to go that route. She then suggested some sort of topical (it wasn't minoxidil can't remember which one).
I've been thinking of starting a regimen and pictures are posted below
My family history suggests that I will go bald. My dad is bald (I think he was a norwood 3 at 25-30). My uncles who I more closely resemble in terms of hair went bald in there mid 30s (one had a hair transplant and at 50 is a norwood 3 or so).

What regimen do you guys think would be most effective? Is the full big 3 necessary? I'm more looking for maintenance then regrowth.
What norwood do you think I am?
I find certain foods make my forehead greasy especially in the temple areas. Is this related to male pattern baldness?
Do topicals have to be applied twice a day to be effective?
What does your hair feel like after applying a topical? Does it feel natural?
Does Nizoral help with maintenance or regrowth? Does nizoral do anything as a standalone?
Is there anyway to tell before I start finasteride if I will have side effects? (some sort of bloodtest) Side effects from finasteride are hat im most concerned about as I feel decreased libido at 21 is much worse then hairloss.
thanks
