im starting to thin and recede in the hairline but my middle widows peak is still good. I caught my hairloss early and ive been on the big three since april 2003. when the Doctor used a micro camera to weeze in and see the thining areas, it showed that i had minimal thining areas in the corners near the hairline. So far ive had some regrowth on one side and the other side has shedded just a little.Im like a Norwood .3 , you can barely can see any hairloss and i only need to feel in roughly a quarter inch if not less along my corners . My question is about genetics. I am 23 now. My father has always had a high hairline since he was in his early 20s . He started thining in the corners just recently in the past 5 to 10 years or so, he is now in his late 40s with a good amount of hair. My question is, Both my grandfathers and their brothers all had a full head of hair. Hairloss showed up out of no where for my dad and uncle. There was no hairloss on any side of the family. I have a younger brother, he's 13 and he has the same hair texture as my dad which is soft and fine in texture and he also has the same high hairline as my dad. But i have my mom's hair texture which is thicker and harder and i dont have the same hairline as my dad when he was my age. What im curious is that, lets say i have my dad's hairloss gene, but i have my mom's hair, how much will DHT affect my hair follicles if i dont have the same hair texture as my dad as oppose to if i have my mom's hair? is there a good chance that i will recede but at a minimal rate? i mean, i have a better hairline then my younger brother, he has baby hairs along his hairline , he has a hairline remiminicent of my dad when my dad was in his mid teens. What do you think guys...i appreciate your opinions.

Try learning how to construct a sentence and a proper paragraph, then maybe someone will be able to decipher your code. :)

Sorry Crossingfingers, I tried to read what you wrote but it was difficult. If you edit it a little, it will be easier for all of us to understand.

crossing,
I wouldn't bet on this one either way. Even though you have your mothers hairline and texture, you may still have the balding genes from your father. Theres just no way to predict what will happen. Sorry.
