Is there anyway to be sure on the potency of products containing minoxidil? Buying products from a large company like Rogaine I have high confidence that I am getting the full bang for my buck. But how about the smaller companies? Do they just whip up the formulas in their garage and hope it is close enough to the 5% value?
Does anyone know if there are standards out there on developing a quality product? Maybe outside testers that give reviews? As far as I know I could be squirting salt water all over my head.
I have used the brand name Rogaine for 2 years and now have switched to Xandrox that also includes minxodil. After only 4 months of using Xandrox I have experienced diffuse thinning at the front of my hairline, mid-scalp, and crown. Just want to be sure that the minoxidil is the same across the board.
