question about flaking...

I have been on minoxidil for about 6 months, first 4 months were 1 per day but the last 2 months have been 2x daily. It has always made my scalp flake, but when I was only using it once a day it wasn't as bad. I am only applying the rogaine to my frontal area, about 2-3 inches in and my temporal region also. Now I have heard having a good scalp cond. is important, so whenever I had noticed some flakes starting to peel, I have always took like a little tooth pick and peel them off to keep my scalp uncovered of the dead skin.

My question is should I do this or should I just let it flake naturally?

I am using t-gel and nizoral and I just started folligen.Something kinda wierd I noticed when using folligen is that only my frontal area(where I apply the minoxidil) kinda stains green as oppossed to the rest of my scalp doesn't at all. Right now I am just trying to beat the flaking...

Anyone know why my scalp would only turn green and stain on the part of head where I only put minoxidil?

Thanks!

That is puzzling. What order to you apply these two treatments and how long do you wait between treatments?

I have used folligen for maybe 10 yrs and no staining at all.

It seems to stain to my flaking skin, as when the skin flakes off its color is green. The skin underneath is normal color, but if thats the case my scalp must have been in bad shape because the minoxidil area stayed green for days until it flakes... I apply 30-60 mins after I apply minoxidil at night. Also its been about a week that I have applied Foligen.

I tried to explain the best I could... hope you understand.
